A Dyneema composite membrane (high-tenacity UHMWPE fibres) of 40 g/m², versus about 55 g/m² for a standard polyester ripstop. It is near-inextensible: it stretches 0.5 to 2% under load, versus 3 to 8% for polyester, so the profile barely moves, flutter disappears and the kite lasts longer. The Dyneema fibre is about 15 times stronger than steel by weight.
