is different

A conventional kite gradually loses its precision as the canopy works, stretches and deforms. Rafale was built around one simple obsession: keeping a clean profile under load.

Every gust becomes power

Our sportiest membrane: a 40 g/m² UHMWPE + PET film composite with aramid X-Ply reinforcement, 27% lighter than a ripstop. It barely deforms: in the warp direction it stretches about 3 times less than a polyester ripstop, and the energy of the gust turns into power and lift. Over 830 N/5 cm in tension, nearly 2 times a ripstop, and tear resistance about 2.8 times higher. For confirmed riders who already master their jumps and chase magic gusts.

The softness that forgives

The proven choice for riding with peace of mind. Its slight elasticity, about 14% elongation at break, warp direction, absorbs the jolts of the gusts: the kite is softer in the hands, more forgiving and easy to live with. About 440 N/5 cm in tension (warp direction), for predictable, consistent behaviour. For progression, leisure riding and riders learning big air.

P85, the kite's backbone

The leading edge and struts use P85: 85 g/m², UHMWPE (Dyneema) fibre reinforced with an aramid X-ply. A stiff, highly impact-resistant frame: the profile holds and the kite takes committed sessions. This structure is shared by both Rafale, P40 and RS alike. Only the canopy fabric changes.

When will I receive it?

Delivery of the Founding Series is expected end of January. You reserve your kite by paying directly online, and we keep you posted on production progress.

Which sizes are available?

Rafale is offered in 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 14 m². If you're torn between two sizes based on your weight and your spot, we'll help you choose.

Why pre-order?

The Founding Series is limited to 100 kites. By pre-ordering (paying online), you reserve yours in your size, with delivery expected end of January.

Who is Rafale for?

For riders who want a precise kite for big air, freeride and freestyle. In P40, for confirmed riders who already master their jumps and chase magic gusts. In Ripstop, for progression, leisure riding and those learning big air.

Which materials are used?

Two canopy fabrics to choose from. The P40: a UHMWPE + PET film composite with aramid X-Ply reinforcement, 40 g/m², over 830 N/5 cm in tension and ≈ 5% elongation at break in the warp direction. The polyester Ripstop: 55 g/m², ≈ 440 N/5 cm and ≈ 14% in the same direction. P85 leading edge and struts on both versions. Tests carried out at ENSAIT.
